Dennis Fairlie became a talented draftsman who contributed articles to many modelling magazines.
J B Allman had won the 1934 Wakefield competition and eventually went to live in South Africa. His 1934 winning model, 'Grasshopper' still exists.
Alwyn Greenhalgh, who was 11 years old at this time, became a Naval Officer, brilliant Model Engineer, raconteur and founder of the Greenhalgh Collection of historic models.
