Robert (Bob) Copland was one of the most prolific, talented Aeromodellers never to win the coveted Wakefield Trophy!
Bob Copland's influence within the aviation world was enormous. He was author and co-author of many model aviation articles and books, his name appears in innumerable contest 'results' pages and his photograph features in association with hundreds of articles in hundreds of magazines! It is therefore somewhat incongruous that I have comparatively little original material to present here and that which I have is presented in a rather haphazard fashion! He was also a prominent figure in the full size aviation world.
