Norman Butcher

Norman Butcher was closely associated with many aspects of model aviation. At various times he was a Competitor who also represented Great Britain. Very involved with the S.M.A.E. he also managed British teams as well as becoming heavily involved in the publication of books and magazines as a business. The letter contained further down the page will give more information. With Dave Hughes he established 'Radio Modeller' with his Redundancy money! He was eloquent in both the written and spoken word and I was fortunate enough to meet him at his home in Spain many years ago. Most of the text with the photos is taken directly from the reverse side of each picture.
