S. R. ('Sammy') Crow
I do not have much information about 'Sammy' Crow but he was certainly a member of Blackheath Model Flying Club at one time. His brother, Sid Crow, kindly sent me a copy of Frank Zaic's 1935-36 Model Aeronautics Year Book that once belonged to Sam.
![]() A very poor quality picture, but the only one that I have at present. 'Sammy' Crow, 1938, Fairey's.
![]() Crow designed 'Fairy Facula'. This aircraft once won a prize in the U.S.A. as a scale model as they confused 'Fairy' with 'Fairey'!

![]() I believe this to be Sammy Crow on the right of the picture. Bert Judge (1936 Wakefield Cup winner) is next to him.
![]() Sam Crow is standing, first on the left at the back. You can read more about this picture here.
![]() This is Sam Crow's original autogiro of 1934. It was renovated by Alwyn Greenhalgh
