Taken at Faireys aerodrome at the Wakefield trials 11.6.33 Johnson, Goodson, Self, Kenworthy, Pearce. (I assume that's B.K Johnson)

"BUCCANEER" Built for competing in the 1933 Wakefield competition. Based on J W K's 'Corsair'. Successful in the trials on 11.6.33 & elected to the English Team for the finals on 2.7.33 (50% of the English team were drawn from the M.M.A.S.) Was unable to pass the directional test in the finals owing to rudder being displaced and unnoticed. Succeeded in winning the Northern Challenge Cup but lost the following week after putting up a flight of 7 min out of sight.
