J. B. Allman                                                                                          Page 1

Justin B. Allman was winner of the 1934 Wakefield Trophy competition. His aircraft was the last model made of hardwood, wire and Silk to win the competition. He also formed one of the team members for the British Wakefield Team of 1936 but it was Bert Judge who won the Trophy in Detroit on this occasion.
In 1973 Allman wrote a very interesting letter to 'The Aeromodeller' from his home in South Africa. Below are the 4 pages of that letter. It is an eloquent introduction to a man who was generally tought of as professorially kind!
